Welcome!
Welcome to BullRider Fitness. I just wanted to take a minute to explain what you can expect here.
On this page you’ll find our mission statement, as well as a description of everything else you can find throughout this site.
First of all, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is TJ, and I’ve been in the fitness industry for the past 15 years. I obtained my CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2009, and I opened a gym shortly after that. I have coached over 9,000 personal training sessions and group fitness classes. I have helped hundreds of clients from different sports, occupations, age groups, and all walks of life.
The BRF Mission
Our mission at Bull Rider Fitness is to help bull riders physically and mentally prepare for your competitions in a safe and effective manner.
By progressing through the programs you find on this site, you will improve your fitness in all of the areas required to be a successful bull rider. These areas include strength, speed, power, balance, coordination, agility, accuracy, and flexibility. It doesn’t hurt to throw a little bit of cardiovascular/respiratory endurance and stamina in there as well, despite your event lasting only 8 seconds.
Our Bull Rider Fitness Training Manual (download here for free) will explain how improving in each of these fitness domains will help you succeed in the arena. All of these skills carry over to bull riding in some way, and improving each of these skills will increase your chance of success in the sport.
Who This Site is For
This site is for anyone looking to excel in the sport of bull riding. Bull riding is a sport where seconds matter, and improving by even just 1% can go a long way. Preparing as much as possible outside of competition will greatly enhance your skills when it comes time to compete.
That said, anyone can benefit from this type of training. If you don’t happen to be a bull rider, but are looking to improve your fitness, health, or overall sense of wellbeing, feel free to contact us and find out how we can help.
